Carter is one of London's most dynamic young independent exhibition spaces founded by Jamie Robinson  in 2005.

Since 2005, Carter  has worked with and exhibited over 100 artists including: Mark Wright, Milika Muritu,  Gavin Turk, Mark Titchner,  Marcus Harvey, Bob and Roberta Smith, Gary Webb, Laura Buckley, Alexis Harding, Matt Franks, Freya Wright, Martin Westwood, Cedric Christie, Danny Rolph, David Rayson, Wayne Winner, Laura White, Ian Dawson, Roger Kelley, Gavin Nolan, Will Tuck, Jonathan McLeod, Daniel Jackson, Dallas Seitz, Claire DeJong, Ellie Howitt, Hannah Wooll, Claire Carter, John Stark, Colin Smith, Gordon Cheung, Covadonga Valdes, Thomas Draschan, Paul Sakoilsky, Bad Beuys Entertainment, Lee Maelzer, Jonathan Gent, Hannah Wooll, Paul Brandford, and many others.
